That Home In Idlewild

*
(Song written June 13 till July 28, 2011.)

You don´t have to run
to the Market Place
´cause the Market Place
is not there

You don´t have to tell me
any truth in my face
I´ll be here and everywhere

All the ladders are gone
and the rain´s movin´ on
Will you please walk
and don´t just stare?

Light that candle for me soon
When I rest beneath
the moon
I´ll be sailing
with that salt in
my hair

Refr:
When we say:
”Up and running, boys!”
the wind is blessed
with pride

I´ll be speaking with
my golden voice
With some ship dog by my side
Any gift that they brought
to us
when they came to
kiss good-bye
will be brought over
the ocean
to that home in Idlewild

............

You don´t have to sell
everything you got
to get sadness out of
your soul

You don´t have to swim
or even talk a lot
To get your mind
up from that hole

If that Idlewild beach
will be out of reach
and you ask
for whom the Bells will
toll

listen to me when I preach
about those flowers
and their speech
and that Salvation
is in rock´n´roll

Refr:

When we say:
”Up and running, boys!”
the wind is blessed
with pride

I´ll be speaking with
my golden voice
With some ship dog by my side
Any gift that they brought
to us
when they came to
kiss good-bye
will be brought over
the ocean
to that home in Idlewild
